Yoren currently works with tutors based in the United Kingdom, Ireland, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Singapore, Japan and Hong Kong SAR.

Yoren recruits tutors in any university subject, including:

• Economics, finance and managementmicroeconomics, econometrics, corporate finance, accounting
• Mathematics and statisticslinear algebra, probability, statistical inference, data analysis in R or Python
• Computer science and engineeringalgorithms, machine learning, signals and systems, structural analysis
• Natural sciencesorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, cell biology, quantum mechanics
• Social sciences and humanitiespsychology, sociology, education, law, philosophy, history

At postgraduate level, you also advise on research design, statistical methods and dissertation structure.

What a session involves

• One-to-one, online, 60 minutes. Yoren sends you the video link.
• The student sends the course material or question in advance. Yoren forwards it to you.
• You explain the material, work through problems, prepare the student for exams and give feedback on research methods and dissertation structure.
• You do not write or complete work that a student will submit for assessment.

Availability and pay

• You set your availability and accept or decline each request.
• You quote a rate per 60-minute session in your local currency. Yoren confirms the rate before your first session and pays for completed sessions in that currency.
• The job is part-time, remote and freelance. Yoren makes no tax deductions.
• Yoren handles the student’s enquiries, bookings, payment and rescheduling, in Chinese.
